Bala Mandir 3rd Balu Sir Summer Camp held from May 2nd to 13 2016

Balu Sir Summer Camp, held for the third year in successsion, began on 2nd May 2016. It was was a 12- day camp, with timing between 9.30am - 1.00pm. Totally 80 children participated - 42 from Bala Mandir  and 38 from the nearby urban slum. Food was sponsored by Sri Krishna Sweets for the children during the camp.Break time refreshments were provided by Bala Mandir like orange juice, rose milk, badam milk and butter milk. 

A Valedictory Function was organised  on 12th May at the Bala Mandir dining hall, where children exhibited what they had learnt during the camp.

The following were taught:

  1. Theatre Art
  2. Three  different styles of dance - Bhangra, Garba and Contemporary
  3. Drawing
  4. Craft

The drawing and craft work created by the children was displayed . The Chief Guest, Mr. Venkat Natarajan, Past President & Trustee, Rotary Club, Ashok Nagar, awarded the children with medals and certificate for their participation.  

A separate camp was held for the 60 children from the Infants & Toddlers' Block - LKG to Standard II .They presented their folk dance performance and art work exhibition during the valedictory function.
