On July 15th 2016, Sri. Kamaraj's birthday was celebrated as Education Day. The function was presided over by Ms. Padma Venkatraman, President, and Women’s Indian Association and daughter of late President Sri R. Venkataraman & Smt. Janaki Venktaraman, who had taken a lot of interest in Bala Mandir during its initial years.  The children of the Primary School presented a Villu Pattu on the life of Shri. Kamaraj. Ms. Padma shared her reminiscences about Bala Mandir and the close association of her parents with Manjumma. It was followed by prize distribution for top scores of board examination held on March’2016 and distribution of uniforms for the Day Care children.
