The main function of the 75th year celebration was held on March 10th at 10-30 am at Mutha Venkata Subba Rao Hall.
Justice Sanjay Kishen Kaul (Former Judge, Supreme Court of India & Chief Justice, Madras High Court) was the Chief Guest. Ms. Andal Damodaran (President, Indian Council for Child Welfare, Tamil Nadu) and Mr. Lars Odd Pettersen (Chairman, Braade-Stiftung Board, Denmark) were the Guests of Honour.
A film showcasing the essence of Bala Mandir’s work was screened, and a book tracing the 75-year journey was released. While Ms. Andal reminisced about her association with Smt. Manjubhashini and Bala Mandir, Justice Kishen Kaul spoke about the importance of education for the children. The speeches were followed by a cultural programme by the children of the Bala Mandir Home and Schools – depicting the 5 Units of Bala Mandir. The programme was well appreciated by everyone who were a part of it.
Lunch was provided for all the people who attended the function.
