Friendship Day was celebrated on February 8th during the annual visit of Mr. Lars Odd Pettersen, Chairman of Board, Braade Stiftung along with Mr.Ole Korva and family. The children put up a play - Iyarkkayin Seetramum, Mandinanin Pangum- on the recent floods in Chennai - aided by audio visuals.  The play detailed the difficulties that the children and staff faced during the unprecedented flooding and how these were overcome. As a unique initiative, there was an expansion of 'friendship' this year. People who have been helping Bala Mandir for decades and also people who have reached out to Bala Mandir recently with a spirit of partnership towards its service activities were invited to the stage and honoured by the tiny children of Bala Mandir.
