The Founder’s day Staff Get-together this year was held on the 23^rd September 2023.  There were 9 teams and included a mix of staff from the different units of Bala Mandir. The programme started with an ice-breaker called the “Chinese Whispers” where one bilingual sentence with day-to-day easy pronunciation was whispered in the ears of the first member of the team by the volunteers and the team members had to whisper what they perceived or heard to the next member and so on.  What the outcome was, once the sentence reached the last person – was hilarious.   This also made all the participants realize what mis-communication or good communication would do to a team, as a whole.

The core activity this year was the teams had to chose one BM value for themselves and depict the value either through Mime, presentation or skit.  They were given stationery, props and 40 minutes time to prepare and present it on stage.  They were judged based on Team performance, depiction of the value they got, usage of props, time upkeep, etc.  The hidden talents of all the staff was showcased in this activity performance.
